Feature Complete

As of yesterday, Witch n' Wiz is feature complete!

That term can mean a few different things depending on who you ask, or which studio you work at, but for me it means that every major feature in the game is done and more or less at a shippable quality. There is still a bit of polish here an there (missing audio, a sprite needing cleanup, etc) but anything remaining can be classified as a "bug". The game is completely playable start to finish, and the amount of change required to fix the remaining bugs should be minimal.

Boss Fight

If you are curious, the final feature to go in was the Final Boss of the game! Yes, this puzzle game has a giant boss fight!? However, I really did my best to avoid a "genre flip" on the last levels. What I mean by that is that this is a puzzle platformer, and it should be a puzzle platformer from start to finish. The Boss is no exception! So I have attempted to come up with something that feels epic, tests your skills, but also shouldn't feel completely alien to the player. I want someone who enjoyed the first 90% of the game to enjoy the finale!

Deal Making

In addition to this, I have just signed a contract with a publisher for the Physical versions of the NES game release! I'm not announcing any more details at this point, but you should hear more soon!

Beta

With all these things coming together, I will be holding a closed public beta for Witch n' Wiz very soon! This is your chance to see the game early, have some say in how it turns out, and to help me make this the best NES game it can be! Sign-up details will be coming soon, and the best way to stay in the know, is to join the game's Discord server. I will post details there!
