VS System - Beta 0.10.0 CRITICAL FIX

The "Vs. System ROMs (Beta 0.10.0)" zip file uploaded yesterday had an error with the NES ROM, "from_below_vs_2021_01_13_v_0_10_0.nes". The EPROM bin files were fine; this was just an issue with the .nes file.

The file has been fix, and the zip has been re-uploaded.

If you load the NES file in an emulator and the colors look very wrong, you have the old file, and should download a new one.

Sorry about that!

Very impressive. Looks good on my Vs. system. One thing, maybe for a revision 1 coin/1 credit should be SW(1)off SW (2)off. Personally I hate free play, I like coining up and not messing with dips. Besides this game is going in my 8 game hiscoresaves[.]com VS. multi gamekit image. Would hiscore save be a future thing? VS. boards can do it...

The default is set to free-play intentional so that people running on emulators (who may not have access to dipswitch settings or coin functionality) can still play. Otherwise get stuck on "insert coin".

And no, not likely going to have save game. I spent a bunch of time getting it almost working, but it is very complex and emulators don't seem to emulate it properly, making it nearly impossible to get right.

Hi there, I downloaded the latest file from_below_vs_2021_01_13_v_0_10_0.zip from the site, but while the nes file has the correct colors on emulator (open emu on OSX), it still gives me incorrect green-ish colors on my NES (running with everdrive N8 pro on latest firmware 2.11). The md5sum of the nes file is this:

MD5 (from_below_vs_2021_01_13_v_0_10_0.nes) = 54055aa3463c6584fcbb275ce820893a

Is that the correct file? If yes, anything else I should be checking?

Thanks in advance!

Just for extra info, the single player rom plays with the correct colors on the same NES+everdrive setup

I assume the file works if you run it on an emulator on your pc?

The everdrive likely doesn't support vs system games since that's not really am NES game.

Thank you for your answer! OMG! I didn't know what the VS. system was. I thought you had a made a versus mode of the game, and that it was still a regular nes rom... I'll go hide under a rock now.

Thanks for a great game!

No worries. It's confusing for sure
